    The staff was very helpful. Offered extras but not pushy.

    Like: Quick and easy online reservation process. Provided a rental for reasonable price. Offered a slightly bigger car for no extra charges when they saw we had quite a few luggages. Offered upgrades for extra cost and was specific about differences in cost of options. Made sure we had all the information about our options to be able to make an informed decision. Tip!* Always get the super protection! You never know if someone causes damage to the car when it's parked. - a suggestion they made and it was worth it!
    Dislike: Not able to make changes to reservation without cancelling previous reservation and making a new one. The person at the chat service informed me this was the only way to make changes. He was helpful, it would've been just more convenient if the option was there.

    Very good drop off in Venice, but Rome pick up was too busy

    Like: I got an unbelievably low rate through easy rent cars.com and the car was almost exactly what we wanted.
    Dislike: The horn in the car didn’t work and in Italy you definitely need a horn. The car company REALLY REALLY should give EVERYONE quick briefing on driving in Italy (ZTL zones, camera surveillance and ticketing, etc) even if it’s just a 3x5 size explaining in the drivers language what mostly is different in traffic laws for Italy. It could even be written by former car rental customers.

    Friendly people, considerate drivers and amazing things to see.

    Like: The mountains with dense forests, the expressways that got us places in a reasonable time. The considerate drivers, no one toots or says angry things - they are too polite for that. ( Although I did get one toot in 14 days, a fair cop. I had to desperately cross three lanes to get to an exit before the lights changed. A big white car came out of nowhere tooted at me, we merged but didn't touch for a few seconds, I slowed down and he took off ahead. Phew!) The Japanese people are friendly everywhere in the country. The island of Hokkaido; it's less populated and it was great to see rice paddies, open fields and green hills. I loved going up into the mountains with our car and going through tree tunnels and seeing waterfalls. The 7/11 and Lawson stores; they had very good made up Japanese and Western meals and yummy sandwiches plus all the usual mini mart products. They have good carparks right outside the store. Having the car meant we could get to out of the way places, there was always hotel or guest house nearby. Mt Fuji, so good we had to stay there twice. The lakes nearby are lovely. Our car was a cross between a shopping trolley and a hairdryer but it was a nifty little car. Lots of interesting things to see - Rabbit Island, shrines on the top of mountains, gorges with rapids and waterfalls, Tokyo from the Tokyo Tower and lots, lots more.
    Dislike: I read on Google that we couldn't get an ETC card but now I read that foreign visitors can get a 14 day Expressway Pass for 34000 yen. I am confused. Our car didn't have a device to signal the toll gates but could we have got one. An ETC card would have saved a lot of toll fees. On most of southern Honshu nearly every bit of the flat land has houses, factories and commercial buildings. Finally got to some open space north of Tokyo and saw rice paddies. Very few animals? No goats, sheep, chooks, ducks, pigs or birds. There were crows and a few ibis. Most animal farming seems to be done in huge sheds,

    Renting a car at Weeze airport (EasyRentCars - Hertz)

    Like: The prices are rather competitive (typically lower than in some other broker agencies), the service is excellent, the staff are always available through the live chat service, the free cancellation is a very useful option, the price includes exactly what is specified, and we did not pay any additional costs at the desk of the rental agency.
    Dislike: In the rental agreement, it was specified that “cross border is free of charge”. It happened that due to the miss-communication between the rental and broker agency this cross border was not free of charge. However, the EasyRentCars accepted to reimburse the cost, and it turned out to also be a positive experience. We are thankful to EasyRentCars.

    They were good as they didn’t try to sell the insurance like in Spain

    Clear sign about collecting it from hotel as we couldn’t find anything to tell us we had to ask another company Not very clear about the marks on the car when collecting as there were quite a few that had been touched up with paint

    Delayed car receiving

    I waited 90 minutes before receiving the car as the location was overbooked. I had two tickets for San Diego Seaworld for more then $200. I lost 2 hours to be there cause I already had tight schedule and this just ruined my day. I would expect partial refund from the total charge because of this bad experience.

    Disappointing

    We rented the car to get back to the airport in Omaha. Within a few minutes of picking up the car, we got a text stating the flight was cancelled. We immediately took the car back and asked if they could do anything since we only had the car a few minutes and was returning it there. They charged us the full price.

    Small car but good service

    Very small car (Nissan March, kind of a Micra) when booking a Compact. Quite windy on the roads so didn't really feel safe in this small car. Goode service overall. One flat tyre to be changed they didn't charge me for so happy with that.

    Good

    At Abbottford airport , need more staff and staff need more training. I waited there for 39 mins in line and after 39 mins wait staffs said they don't have any car . Where other guy in staff talking to his co-worker chatting and laughing . Have no intention to serve customer, they said i made booking at other locations I have to go to other locations for pick pick up car. When i arrived other location my booked car was given to other people . Totally they don't care about booking I have to pick other car or they said i have to go back to airport I wasted almost 2 hours in just getting car. They give other which is more expensive .

    Unexpected bad experience.

    Positive 1. The customer service during pick-up was fast. 2. The customer service during drop-off was equally faster and smooth. Negative 1. I booked a Jeep Cherokee cause I will be driving from San Diego to San Francisco and would need a bigger car so my family will be comfortable. They changed this without notice to a much smaller Buick Encore without any explanation. 2. I ordered a toddler seat for my 5 yo kid and confirmation was sent for this. But at the time of pick-up and I ended up travelling to from Carlsbad to San Diego Airport ( a total of 1 hour ++ trip) and end up wasting half-a-day of our planned trip. 3. and because we have to adjust our trip, we have to extend our rental. 4. I have used Hertz before and they would normally explain the gas and time of return, I totally forgot about these things because of the rush and I ended assuming that I need to fill-it-up in full. I also found out that I was being charged to pay for overtime time charged and I needed to call the customer service to cancel the charges.
