    Make a mistake on booking and didn't add the excess insurance. Couldn't get easy rental to add it

    Car was spot on. Gold car staff was good. Check in staff was hard to understand if he was saying 7 or 70 eurso to add the excess insurance. Checking car out and in was excellent.

    The service was very good, but I'd purchased the car with reduced excess through and when I arrived at the office, goldcar attempted to sell me the same excess despite that being obvious through the booking. Also, slow to return the deposit.

    Absolute scam, rude staff, expect over 1000 euros to be added to your credit card!

    The counter staff at the airport spent almost 15 mins PER client, trying to sell them insurance! The staff were so rude that two couples ended up tearing up their booking and instead got a taxi! Then they added on 73 euros for fuel, a deposit of nearly 1200 euros (for a small car) and when we said that was not in our Tcs and Cs, they became aggressive and said we do not have a contract with you, take that up with the broker, they have nothing to do with us! Everyone in the BIG queue (because they were so busy insisting people did not have the right insurance and they needed to buy theirs!) was complaining about the hidden costs and the rudeness of the staff, in particular the Supervisor. I asked for a complaint form and they would not let me leave the window to fill it in! NEVER AGAIN WITH THESE COWBOYS!

    Caution !! The booking price seems to be a good bargain but when you pick up the car, they force you to pay an insurance for 4 times the price of the rental !! (The commercial strategie is to tell you than if you don’t souscrive to their insurance they ll have to lock 1400€ for 1 month on your credit card...) my advise : find an other rental !

    Firts of all we have a huge problem because Gold car litetally robbed us. I need you solve my rental because they charged us 10 times more of what se have reserved at my credit card.

    good service but i do not know wht they took over £1299 deposit!!

    service was good although not "on site " as I was expecting. I took over £1299 excess from my card rather than just putting a hold on the amount which is something that had never happened before. No one was at the office to take the car back so I took photos to prove I had not damaged the car. If I get my dep back soon I could not fault the service!!

    Poor customer service

    Absolutely shocking experience. The details in agreement were totally different than the actual state of car. When I challenged Goldcar staff about tire-pressure monitoring system warning light being on I was told it's ok (it's not ok where I am from, it's serious safety issue), then I have noticed the fuel tank was empty where my contract stated I'm renting car with full tank and returning it with full tank. I was once again been told that it's ok an I can return car empty, too. And when I asked if that is a common practice that contract doesn't match reality the answer I received was "THIS IS MALTA" Very unprofessional approach.

    Rental Via Easy car rent was easy & quick competitive price.

    Counter staff was helpful I think his name was Marco, Got new car one issue about the car that there was no fluid for the windscreen wipers, & one issue with the GOLDCAR as they didn't release the amount of money blocked on my Credit card almost 8 days passed till now with no issue with the car when i returned back!!

    Bad service from Goldcar

    They messed up the pick up and drop off. The confused the registration in the car. They sent an automatic email to say my car had been returned one day earlier than it should have been and it took 1.30 minuets to sort things out when i returned the car. They also tried to push sell thier insurance ..even when i proved i had insurance they tried to say they did not accept American Express credit card. When they did accept it. They are a very bad company

    Generally good car rental experience but surprise costs at pickup were disappointing.

    Staff were friendly. On negative side, the high and unclear extra costs at the pickup desk were a surprise. When I asked how the €125 extra costs were broken down, I was told something like " €65 fuel (seems dear and I only used a half tank), €25 fuel service charge (?) and remainder in taxes(?)". Also, when I afterwards looked at documents they gave me, no written breakdown was included. These costs should all have been made clear at the time I was booking. This is my only real complaint about booking.

    Not pleasant experience!

    The engine was 1.3 too small for driving on steepy roads we didn’t feel safe We spend nearly an hour at the counter as I wasn’t expecting full to empty policy on fuel and a large deposit of £1200 for such a small car plus non refundable charge of £26 . at the end the car costs me £70 for a rubbish car We did not use it around only driving from/to the airport. The staff at the counter was rude and not helpful Never hire a car from them again

    When I dropdropped the car, I told to staff Mr Emre , could you please check the car very well I've got something in car. My special water bottle. It's cost me £35.00 But he didn't. Also he saw I've lot's of stuff and he never offer me to help or give me a lift airport . That's unacceptable.

    As usual they try to sell us their insurance telling us VISA insurance do not work with them. Vehicule was with a lot of little hit. A little hit (white point in the windshield amid a lot wasn’t noted) was charged 400€. I rent more than 15 cars a year, and is it not correct to charge customers.

    Pretty awful

    Poor customer service from Sonia, who wanted to finish her shift. The vehicle had many defects to be reported, which proved difficult in the dark and time consuming but we were helped by Emanuel, who was waiting for his lift home. I have already cancelled my next reservation with you and gold car in February.

    Read the small print!

    Waited a long time for pick up. They would not accept Amex and forced me to buy insurance. If I did no they would not rent the car seeing I did not have visa or MasterCard with me.
