    Good App but money-cheating car rental company

    Service was terrible. When drop off the car, the service lady insisted there were scratches and asked for penalty. I wiped off the scratches as they were just dirt. That lady insisted there was a chip on the windshield and asked for penalty as well. I explained it was evidenced on check in and that was not caused by me. However I still received a letter claiming $120 repair fee for that tiny 10mm chip. The company is clearly cheating the money!

    The guy on the counter without my approval has added their insurance that cost 90 Euro and told me that this money deposited for gasoline and tall payer. Also, he has hidden the contract behind the check-in document so I realized what happened only after I've returned home and money that was charged wasn't returned. Moreover, they provided a contract on Portugal so you where I tried to understand this contract and resolve the problem with the Goldcar I've realized in case I wanted to read it on the counter I wouldn't understand it. This is addition way how they increase the probability to "sell" you more extras without you confirmation

    Very Good

    Staff were inflexible about early pick-up (even though cars were available) and tried to up-sell a more expensive package in order to have the car 1 hour earlier. We waited the hour, then completed pickup with a friendly and helpful staff member. Numerous add-ons, such as obligatory transponder for the toll highways, were unexpected - but the total amount was not excessive.

    Wouldn’t use Glodcar again.

    We had to pay additional charges for refuelling even though we returned the car with a full tank. They claimed a small chip in the windscreen had to be paid for (400€) despite their rental agreement saying chips of under 20mm did not incur a charge.

    Bad experience with refuse to take debit card n CHARGE and not HOLD amount in credit card.

    Car Price is good BUT they CHARGE your credit card the deposit of 1500 euro and not put a HOLD on the amount. Thus the currency exchange loss in credit card conversion back n forth ends up USD80 extra. Refuse to take Debit card. So unless you hv credit card in EUR currency, not recommanded to rent from them.

    DESCONTROL Y A PAGAR.

    Habiamos reservado un Fortwo, al llegar nos lo cambiaron por un Hyundai I10 y al final nos entregaron un Fiat 500 con 50.000 Kms. Nos hicieron firmar una fianzade 1.209 euros que ya nos han devuelto y otrocargo de10,80 euros en concepto de upgrade y cargo de oficina mas impuestos, cosa que no se nos habia advertido en ningun momento.

    Goldcar company will push you for buy insurance even you had AXA insurance.

    Goldcar rezervation employee pushed us to buy for additional insurance when we checked in. they said to us AXA insurance will not cover my rental days because they will not issue damage invoice when we had accident. Also they want to claim past damage areas to us. We rejected because we did not do anything. Was very bad experience. Please investigate this customer attitude.

    horrid and would never use them again

    at pickup car had more damage than on the paperwork provided and staff refused to inspect it with me to identify additional damage. On return they were only willing to issue a verbal ok and it took 20 minutes of arguments to get a signed piece of paperwork. they still refused to confirm that the car was full of fuel
