    Old and dirty

    Camry of full size nit available. They tried to give me a smaller car. Ended up with 4x4 SUV which got bad gas mileage. Car had 50,000 miles and interior had stains everywhere on the upholstery. Rental car return was very dfificult to find because of construction.

    Great Customer Service, professional and friendly staff

    I was happy with the customer service I received when picking up the car. The counter person was friendly and professional and the representative at the gate was very helpful in reviewing the car with me. Both made the process go quickly and got me on my way to start enjoying Vegas! Kudos to both representatives. The return went just as smoothly, the representative there was polite and professional, we walked around the car together and she printed out my receipt and told me what charges and credits to expect on my credit card. Overall great service. The only thing I wasn't happy with was having to take two shuttles from the airport to the car rental place.

    Excellent

    I went to Fox Rent A Car for the price. I was a little surprised to learn that I would pay an extra $11+ per day for tolls or $15 plus the toll if I didn't take that option. That said, Fox wasn't any less than the competitors when all was said and done.

    Don't get in an accident....service is not good!

    I was involved in an accident and Fox was no help! George (ID 5376) in corporate told me that Fox took care of the car that was totaled but to help me get back to town (90 miles away) or medical care was not their responsibility. He was rude and when I asked to speak with a manager he replied, "we are the highest". The only good encounter I had was Cody in the Las Vegas office. He showed empathy towards our situation and assured us our insurance covered the car.

    Exactly what you’d expect from a cheap carrier.

    There was a lot of added charges at the desk (liability insurance, toll charges, etc) that wasn’t communicated beforehand. I was told that Fox wasn’t like big rental companies so I couldn’t use my own car insurance liability, and had to purchase theirs. I also was told that I had two options for tolls: pay $8.99 a day and use their Sunpass with unlimited tolls, or decline and then pay a $15 fee on top of each individual toll charge. They said we could get a sunpass elsewhere but it takes 48 hours to become active, so that wasn’t an actual option. The whole process felt very scammy.

    Way too long of a wait

    The car was great. Staff was friendly. However, they are woefully understaffed!! One agent and 11 people in line in front of us. Then a 2nd agent came on. Finally, after about an hour, there were 3 agents. It was our turn, but then there were issues with their credit card scanning equipment and we, as long as another couple, were told our cards were declined. Eventually they did go through by swiping instead of chip reader. There is no reason to wait an hour in line to pick up a rental car.

    No worry vacation thanks to Fox Rental

    Customers should be quoted the price for Fox to fill the tank when they pickup car. I filled up as soon as I left the highway to figure it would be cheaper, it wasn't. I used Suncoast Energy a few blocks away. Before I knew it I was paying $5.959 a gallon. I'll be reporting them to the BBB.

    Never again.

    Fox is the worst. They were extremely rude at the pickup counter and harassed me about everything. The car was filthy and smelled so bad of cigarettes that it made us sick and bothered my husband's asthma. We called their number but they never answered.

    Good service but lousy car

    The car was horrible. The ride was poor. Seemed like a wheel was out of balance. It would start off rough and then even out but 0-50 was not good. Car lacked power and acceleration was not smooth. It was a hard pedal which made feel difficult. There was something wrong with the windshield that caused blinding by oncoming car light at night. I tried to remove it by washing the outside and inside several times but the glare remained.

    Phoenix rental car

    Like: The car was reasonably priced.
    Dislike: We requested a Toyota Corolla, (knowing full well that you don't always get what you request) but instead was issued a Red Kia Soul. Turns out the Red Kia Soul had a California license plate on the front and an Arizona license plate on the back. When we brought this to their attention, they wouldn't let us rent the car. They issued us a BLACK Kia Soul. Ever driven a BLACK car in Phoenix in the Summer? But there was a Toyota Corolla parked right next to the Black Kia Soul, and they wouldn't let us rent it either. None of the staff were very patient or helpful. It's like they were bothered that there were so many issues. We were the only customers at the time. Our plane landed at 9:30 pm and we left the rental car place at close to 11:00 pm. Still never knew why the Corolla (that was right there) was not available to rent.

    Great Price for a Little Car

    Like: We picked up this little subcompact car for under $30/day plus tax by surfing the price down over time. The car only had 14,000 miles on it and was in pretty good shape. Just right for the island. We mostly used it to zip around. The check-in was efficient and the check out was speedy.
    Dislike: Two things stand out. First, the rental lot is off-airport and the shuttle van is not as consistent as the bigger named rentals. I ended up taking an Uber, but should have waited. The car was small, but that is what I signed up for.
