    Very happy overall; gladly use again in spite long pickup time

    Like: All staff I interacted with were affable and generous. I felt well informed and well taken care of. What I appreciated was understanding why things were taking so long: the staff focussed on the customer care and went into detail when answering questions and helping customers make the right choices. I was happy with the way that Geneva handled my query; I felt like I was the only customer in the room -- unrushed and highly valued.
    Dislike: I had not anticipated close to 1.5 hours from queue to driving off with the car. If I had known this, I would have built this into my schedule and my 7 year old daughter was tired from flying and very fed up. Moreover it had a knock on-effect on my next appointment to collect a key from the air bnb accommodation contact, so I had a lot of apologising to do.

    Service satisfactory... had initial issue with car

    Like: Pick up.. easy to find location.. staff was helpful.. They didn’t have the car I reserve... was offered a Vauxhall Zafira or a upgrade to MB E Class - I choose the upgrade for a reasonable price- Very comfort car to drive in long road trips.
    Dislike: Car wasn’t clean inside or outside (I let this issue go as I have a very long drive ahead, the interior was dusty in parts and bird poop is baked by the sun onto car body and windscreen).. the car had a issue with one of its power window—- kept opening itself (so I need to drive back to rental office to have it fixed).. although the car had low mileage about 13,000 miles - the are signs of abuse within the car’s interior

    Awesome service!

    Europcar is amazing. We needed to change the drop off location from Balmaceda to Coyhaique and they were totally fine with it and added no extra charge for the site change. Also, this is completely an aside, but my friend lost her passport when she arrived in Chile and didn't have an address to have her new one sent to. Europcar allowed her to use their address to have her passport sent to and held it for her until she could come back and pick it up. Amazing customer service, above and beyond!

    Good

    The first impression was terrible and uninviting by counter staff, (as we walked in he was arguing with another customer as they didn't have their baby chair as promised) but we hoped for better situation as we had no special requirements. Once it came down to pay deposit, the gentleman didn't want to accept my card since it was not embossed and argued it cannot go through payment even without trying. After 510 minutes of persuading to try he called someone on the phone and it was suddenly possible to process. Car was in good technical condition, however we found the items from previous owner and inside and was not cleaned inside at all.

    Easy process - but extermely dissapointing that extra costs where added on pick up...

    Disappointing that snow tyres were not already included on the car despite requesting this when first purchased. And also disappointed about the hard sell on this at the airport leaving us little choice but to pay extra money for something that should have already been included...

    Europcar was terrible!!

    Car was dirty. Car was different to what we booked and we were given a much bigger car so tried to change it but the girl had left the office. No one was there to answer the phone, even the call centre called them and they didn't answer. She was gone for over 30mins while we waited. We had to take the car and it was dirty everywhere even with crumbs in the front. The lady on the call centre wasn't helpful either. We never got compensation or a call from the pick up office despite leaving the complaint with the call centre.

    Downgraded my car when unavailable

    It was a bad experience. I went to pick up the booked car (Intermediate | Holden Commodore or similar) at Europcar Auckland, and was told that the car I wanted was not available, and the "similar" cars were not available as well. They then proceeded to offer several other cars, which were all downgrades from what I booked online. I rejected the downgrades, and Europcar staff said "that's all they have", and that "they can't do anything about it". I left the shop with a downgraded 1.4L Turbo Jeep Compass, which was much cheaper than what I have already pre-paid. I'll never use their services again.

    Scracth & dents

    The car we rented had a lot of scratch & dents, I pointed them out to the agent & he noted them along with taking photos. After touring the island I could see the driving habits of the locals and how the dents were acquired, when returning the vehicle there were no issues and had a quick return and drop off at the airport.

    Very Good

    Disappointing that Europcar didn't have an easy way for the car to use Denver's toll roads in a simple "pay as you go" way. I.e Several of Europcar's competitors at Denver airport fit tags to their cars, so that you can use the toll roads and simply pay just for the individual trips you've taken at the end of the rental. Europcar/Advantage don't do this. The advice from the staff was simply "don't use the toll roads". This was rather inconvenient.

    No problems..

    Car was good, pickup process was smooth and fast at pick up desk, attendant in car park was efficient and friendly for both pickup and return. I like that they allow for normal "wear and tear". However better signage is needed when returning cars to the actual terminal as it's very easy to drive by the return parking lot entrance.
