    better than expected!

    Like: After I payed for my car rental through advantage before leaving for my trip, a couple days later is when I looked at the reviews and man, they were terrible. It made me wanna cancel my reservation, get a refund and rent from somewhere else. But I just said I'll give it a chance because I didn't wanna go through the hassle. Got to LA, and it ended up being a very good experience actually. I had no problems at all. As soon as I went outside to wait for the shuttle, it arrived literally like not even 2 minutes of waiting. Got to the place and waited in line for like 8 minutes. The guy was quick and easy. He wasn't very smiley and friendly though, which is what I like to see in people, even if it's fake haha. He tried to get me to get insurance and I told him no and then after trying to push a little harder, he stopped. After being with him for about 6 minutes, he gave me the contract or whatever you call it to sign, then I went to my rental. It was very nice and in good shape. I read a lot of people complained the car they got was in bad shape, or dirty and/or smelled, etc. Nope, I got a 2018 Toyota Camry and it was beautiful! There was a few scratches and a big scrape towards the bottom, which it wasn't even visible unless you really looked hard, but I took pictures of everything before the guy inspected it, then I left. I had it for a week. Dropped it back at the time I said, the girl did a quick inspection and said everything was good and I went to the shuttle and the guy took us right away to the airport. I was worried also because a lot of people said they would get charged for random little charges that the employees couldn't explain after bringing it back. I made sure the car was full of gas, cleaned, wiped down and vacuumed before I returned it so I wouldn't be charged for bs cleaning charges, but it's been a week and I haven't gotten any charge taken and I got an email from advantage with my inspection on it, the contract with all the info and then it

    Great experience

    Like: Got to airport and went to counter.had to wait for people who hadn't pre booked to be served.got served quickly and efficiently with no problems , then off to collect the car.car was not the model I was expecting but was nearly new and better than the model I'd ordered.have travelled a lot to different places in Florida and quite happily say this was a great deal /price for the car I ordered and I would certainly use this company again in future holidays..i was very impressed with the company and service.
    Dislike: Having to wait over half an hour when I had pre booked my car 2 months earlier.(had just got off an 8 hour flight with 3 kids in tow!!

    Good car but long wait at service location and use your head when they try to sell you extras

    Long wait in location to pick up the car. Tried to sell me Ezpass or equivalent in which I really did not need. I think I asked them about it so it may be my fault but if they say you need a more powerful car don't listen to them. However the actual car I got and the price I paid was amazing and that is what matters the most, car drove well no problem with it whatsoever aka. did not impair my vacation expect the long wait as location. Also easy drop off and fast shuttle back the airport.

    Worst car rental experience

    The queue to pick up our car was over an hour wait. The staff at the counter were not friendly at all, very pushy on up selling insurance despite having full cover already - they use scaremongering tactics. Also they tried to give us a smaller/cheaper car than we booked. After I complained and showed my booking confirmation, they finally honoured what I paid for but told me it was technically an “upgrade”. Would pay the extra money and hire a car from a more reputable company so you can at least relax and make the most of your vacation in Maui, not worry about whether you’re going to get stung with Advantage additional charges on return!

    Never want to go with Advantage again.

    I am not from Florida and didn’t know I had to turn the SunPass off. I told the staff when I picked up the vehicle that I would be paying the tolls (total about $10 for the week). Because I didn’t turn off the pass, I was told I would either have to pay $10 per day I had the car (it ended up being $112 Canadian dollars) or pay an exuberant amount more because I’d pay a penalty of $25 per till. I should have just been charged at most for the 2 days I used the pass (to and from airport) at the very most given that I didn’t want the pass to begin with. Your staff needs to do a better job of explaining how the SunPass works. Their lack of communication cost me over $100

    I love this group!

    The car was bigger than I'd bargained for and in excellent condition. The only slight problem was that the driver's seat smelled strongly of men's cologne. The guys behind the counter and at checkout were all very nice and extremely helpful.

    No car despite confirmation. Had to pay double with another company.

    They overbooked, and ran out of cars . There was an hour long line to be told there were no cars, and to take the shuttle back to the airport with no further advice from Advantage.

    Great car but only average experience.

    The car was awesome, except for one tire which had a slow leak when we got it. We ended up spending a bunch of money filling it with air everyday and then eventually getting it patched ourselves when easyrentcars told us they would not pay for it, but we could drive (2 hours) to the pickup location to get a different car.

    I would reconsider Advantage as a business partner

    What could have been better? Well, we booked a 5 seat Intermediate SUV. When we got to the counter we were told that the SUV we booked only had 4 seat belts. There was/is no correlation between seat belts and seats as booked online (this was confirmed on the phone later). Then the $700+ 'upgrade' to fix the issue, but wait now it's $500, now it's $400 because you seem nice... Never mind the effort to double charge me for insurance, since it was already on the computer... oops. Besides that, as expected.

    I got a smaller car than I reserved.

    I reserved a Impala or equivalent size car. First of all, the counter asked me to get a larger car with extra money, so I said no. Then, the counter kept refreshing the monitor to hold a car. It took more than 20 min. to get me a Rav4. I had to accept the car. The space is smaller than Chevy Impala, but could not wait more due to 2 little girls.
