    better than expected!

    Like: After I payed for my car rental through advantage before leaving for my trip, a couple days later is when I looked at the reviews and man, they were terrible. It made me wanna cancel my reservation, get a refund and rent from somewhere else. But I just said I'll give it a chance because I didn't wanna go through the hassle. Got to LA, and it ended up being a very good experience actually. I had no problems at all. As soon as I went outside to wait for the shuttle, it arrived literally like not even 2 minutes of waiting. Got to the place and waited in line for like 8 minutes. The guy was quick and easy. He wasn't very smiley and friendly though, which is what I like to see in people, even if it's fake haha. He tried to get me to get insurance and I told him no and then after trying to push a little harder, he stopped. After being with him for about 6 minutes, he gave me the contract or whatever you call it to sign, then I went to my rental. It was very nice and in good shape. I read a lot of people complained the car they got was in bad shape, or dirty and/or smelled, etc. Nope, I got a 2018 Toyota Camry and it was beautiful! There was a few scratches and a big scrape towards the bottom, which it wasn't even visible unless you really looked hard, but I took pictures of everything before the guy inspected it, then I left. I had it for a week. Dropped it back at the time I said, the girl did a quick inspection and said everything was good and I went to the shuttle and the guy took us right away to the airport. I was worried also because a lot of people said they would get charged for random little charges that the employees couldn't explain after bringing it back. I made sure the car was full of gas, cleaned, wiped down and vacuumed before I returned it so I wouldn't be charged for bs cleaning charges, but it's been a week and I haven't gotten any charge taken and I got an email from advantage with my inspection on it, the contract with all the info and then it

    Great experience

    Like: Got to airport and went to counter.had to wait for people who hadn't pre booked to be served.got served quickly and efficiently with no problems , then off to collect the car.car was not the model I was expecting but was nearly new and better than the model I'd ordered.have travelled a lot to different places in Florida and quite happily say this was a great deal /price for the car I ordered and I would certainly use this company again in future holidays..i was very impressed with the company and service.
    Dislike: Having to wait over half an hour when I had pre booked my car 2 months earlier.(had just got off an 8 hour flight with 3 kids in tow!!

    Terrible!

    Interesting in customer service from Oahu to Maui. Great service, quick and a nice car. Maui was a very long wait time to get the car which was too small for 4 people and bags, staff wanted another $200.00 for something bigger. Not sure if I will rent from them again

    Not sure I’d use Advantage again.

    I did get a Camry but it was similar. The women at the desk didn’t really explain the prepaid gas to me, I excepted it but I guess I didn’t really understand and I feel I was misdirected. I didn’t even use a half a tank and had to pay 68$. They way she explained it was I’d get charged for what I use and their price for gas was cheaper than the outside price. I was ripped off!!!

    I would happily use Easyrentcars.com in future for the best and most competitive deals!

    Counter staff were extremely helpful and efficient, and made the experience very pleasant. The vehicle was also better than expected, and made the trip much more enjoyable. I would highly recommend Advantage in future.

    Will be sending a formal complaint about this and will never use this comapny again.

    Ordered a Intermediate SUV and ended up with a 7 seater People Carrier. Upon returning the vehicle, filled up at a Gas station 5 miles from Airport. Waited 30 minutes for person to check vehicle and was charged U$ 15.00 because needle was not over the Full. Attendant was very rude and did not listen when told that vehicle was filled up 5 mile ago. Absolutely outrageous behaviour from this attendant.

    Easy on the internet, hell at the rental place

    The shuttle was very late picking us up. After the person at the desk spent 15 minutes trying to upgrade me to a more expensive car she spent just as long persuading me with hard sell tactics that I needed more insurance. Being tired after a 10.5 hour flight I lost the will to argue and then paying for the extra insurance and deposit was equally stressful. When we first saw the car the outside was dirty and had damage to the front bumper. It was the only car available so we had no choice but to take it. In all it was a very unpleasant experience.

    Booking excellent. Rental company very bad.

    I will never hire a car from Advantage due to the counter staff and his supervisor tried to sell me SLI “ supplementary liability insurance “ and refused to give me the car unless I pay for the SLI which is already included in my insurance CDW/SLI. They insisted that my policy does not cover it.

    Poor.

    The car was scratched and dented on the front back and sides,and I had to go back to the office twice to get these recorded. When I returned the car I barely had time to remove the luggage before it was driven away without any inspection.

    Great experience. Ended up with a Mitsubishi Outlander, 7 seater.

    Car was great. Clean, tidy, minor marks that I pointed out but they really weren’t that bothered on drop off. Pick up less than an hour. Guy on desk tried to up sell a few items like pre paid tolls which I didn’t need and luckily didn’t take. Up sold fuel, which suited me, cheap enough at $42. On site at airport so easy to find. Excellent experience, would use again.

    Absolutely terrible

    Advantage customer care was awful. Vehicle broke down the following day. Spent an absolute age on the phone and the supervisor at Advantage was very rude. Apparently could not understand my ‘accent’. I could not understand her and it seemed to me her English was not very good. I spent 3hours in Universal’s car park waiting for assistance. I eventually got a replacement vehicle, but I have to say that neither the original or replacement vehicle were not very clean. Stained upholstery on both cars. These are the worst vehicles I have ever rented in the US in the 20 years I have been visiting. Avoid Advantage

    let down by additional charges

    When arriving at service desk to collect I was asked if I needed tolls paid upfront. I explained where I was staying and only travelling local except for a few days. I was told tolls were all around the area of my villa and be going through 3 regularly. I was told $9.99 a day which seemed high, however had bumped charges for extra taxes etc that accumulated a lot higher. This took advantage of me after a long travel day. I was only told negatives of not taking the pass by being told if I passed a toll and not paid I would be charged $25 admin on each toll. I was also told horror stories of people being faced with hundreds of pounds bills on return to uk from tolls and charges. I had pages and pages of document on a small pad to try and read and was rushed through as the service attendant was constantly having calls from someone to log out of the system. He said he was just finishing dealing with me and they rang yet again. I felt pushed into this which is very unfair and took advantage.
