    From call to ACE for Shuttle to reaching ACE cars for pickup was almost 1 hour. Wait time of almost 40min at Domestic Airport Shuttle area. The car was picked up at night time and we did not notice the body work and external condition until following morning and found it to below over expectation and requirement.

    Staff in the morning was great but made my business partner pay the insurance again. Dropping the vehicle was worse. No instruction, had to wait for 10 minus to get the car to be taken back and then the counter staff almost made me miss my connection as they could not organise the shuttle bus to drop us off at the airport. Another company driver had to step in and get me to the airport so I would miss my connection.

    Overall a very disappointing experience. Pick-up from the airport took longer than expected and standing in the cold with a small child was not ideal. When then we arrived to collect our rental which was not ready and the customer service representative, Dinesh was incredibly rude. He tried to push the insurance and tolls quite aggressively on us and then tried to make us sign for the condition of the car without seeing it. At this point I refused, left the counter and waited outside. I then witnessed another member of staff bring our car round to the front and crashed it into a bollard denting the front number plate slightly damaging the front of the car too. This was witnessed by quite a few people and it was all quite ridiculous really. The car itself was larger than we ordered and very scuffed and scratched. The child seat had no infant insert and was ripped. The car itself was very economical with fuel and comfortable and on hand back the staff were much nicer.

    The car was fine & customer service once we got to the pickup office was good. We waited for around 45 minutes for the shuttle bus to come to pick us up at the airport. I kept calling the number provided but could never get through. On my 4th attempt at calling I finally got to speak to someone who told me that the bus would be there in a few minutes. Even then we waited another 20 minutes before it actually arrived. Drop off was the same. Had to wait at least 30 minutes for a shuttle bus to take us to the airport. I suggest more shuttle buses more regularly.

    They have a trick to over charge toll invoice by charging +18$admin fee on top of toll invoice. f you think you save money because you chose ace instead of other suppliers during booking, you ar badly mistaken. Never, ever come back to them.

The team at the counter was extremely cooperative in arranging for the car well in time.     It was a Saturday morning so the office was very busy plus there was a problem with one customer’s booking what blocked one of the team member. Our lady at the counter was a new staff there so that’s why it took a bit longer but overall no complaints. Suggestion: get a better booking software. The one used there is some kind of a MS DOS based one from 90’s which is heavily user unfriendly.

    The only disadvantage of ACE Rental Cars was their pick-up-location. Since i booked the car not directly after my flight, i had no shuttle-bus. And there's no public transport going to ACE Rental Cars. So I needed to walk 30 minutes. But all in all i am very happy with ACE and would do it again.

    Great car for the price. The only gripe I have is the system used to use Toll roads. No Etag supplied with the car. A bit of a hassle to sign up to Emu toll & you are charged 75 cent photo fee for every toll.

    The one thing about the car: I did not like the smell, although it was clean and in a good condition, however I think cleaning could have been better to remove the smell. Pick up was quick. Drop off: didn't find the entrance straight away, had to U-turn, no clear large title at the entrance. Also had to wait for a while for stuff member to get ready to serve me. Staff does not meet you at the entrance, no guiding showing where to go, figure out yourself.

    The customer service was good, after we eventually figured out where the shuttle picked up from. The automated directions were very unclear. The car smelt like an ashtray and evidently had previously had a heavy smoker in it which was a bit much. The breaks worked but sounded like the pads were getting thin.

    It is such a hassle to call for them to pick us up, carry our luggage to the waiting area, upload and download them during shuttle service then upload again to the rented vehicle as the counter is NOT in terminal. Worst scenario is when they gave option either A. Pay aud19.90 per day for toll charges OR B. Pay Admin fee of aud38 plus whatever toll charge incurred during the rental period (which both options are Relatively expensive). They gave us wrong key to the wrong car (parked side by side) and wasted few minutes to inspect wrong vehicles. Dropping the car off was also a hassle as we again have to download and upload luggage to use their shuttle service to the airport. The to top it all we were charged unknown fee AFTER we went back to hometown without any further information. No invoices were given throughout the rental period

    Since last time, when I rented ACe car, there has been a change to the toll fee payment system : while previously it allowed to pay it myself ( via Linkd), which was easy, straightforward and cheap, current system supposedly does not allow any other option but whether to pay flat fee 15 Aud daily for the length of car rental ( which for 5 days is 75 Aud0, or so called admin fee at about 38.50 Aud 9 not sure what costs so much to just register the car?//0 plus the actual fee ( which - driving to Canberra, for example is twice 4 AUD), altogether the cost is 46.50 AUD to pay toll of 8 Aud driving car to Canberra. This is just hidden cost, and it would be just fair to see, why the admin fee is so extortionately high ( what is so difficult to register the car? with Linkd it is easy via app on the phone and takes 2 minutes, no more).
