All licenses issued in the European Union are accepted.
Driver's licenses from non-EU countries (except Switzerland) are accepted if you have a visa in your passport and at the time of hire have not been in Europe for longer than 6 months. If your domestic driver's license is printed with non-Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Japanese, Cyrillic etc), an International Driving Permit (IDP/IDL) or an official translation in English is required together with your driver's license when you drive in Belgium.
To drive in Belgium, the driver must present a valid national driver's license that has been held for at least 1 or 2 years (according to different car hire company).

As you can see from my reservation, I booked a Medium SUV | Toyota C-HR or similar, however, upon receipt I was given another car - a small Toyota Corolla hatchback. I specifically booked an SUV, since my height is 195 centimeters. As a result, 8 days I was cramped in the issued car, and I did not receive a price reduction for another car. I did not understand on the spot since the issuance of a car so took a long time, the reservation was at 11:30 a.m. but I received the keys only at 12:50 p.m.

5.7I booked Mercedes A-class and I receive Volvo V with a lot of scratchers.
The Europcar employee was rude and unhelpful, I paid extra insurance at Europecar office and process it was around 50 min. She booked two warranty for car .I return the car and money still blocked.

What was a bit sad was that the windows were dirty (greasy) on the inside. As you only notice when you are gone this is something they should check better.
The actual car, a Susuki Swift is really not what I would ever buy.

8Good treaty but the car was not the one we have order
The customer service was really good, but we didn't get the car that we order in the webside.
We order a MERCEDES class B and we finally got a RENAULT KANGOO, nothing to be.
The Mercedes Classe B was automathic and the Renault Kangoo wasn't.
And of course, the type of vehicle isn't the same and the price neither.
We claim for that.

Than the agent convinced us to upgrade the car (for extra money of course). We got an infinity Q50 - which initially seems to be a nice car however it was old (over 40,000 km) and not well maintained. It was dirty and did not function well. We were stuck few times because the key ID was not identified - "incorrect ID". Then the engine just died and the car had to be towed.
We had to fight for a replacement - no body at Budjet-Avis cared that we are a family with 2 kids, lots of luggage - stuck with no car. They offered us the smallest class, manual, as replacement (I didnot drive manual for 30 years!). After fights and a loss of a day vacation we got a manual car - lower class!!!
No compensation!! we paid for an automatic higher class car, we lost a whole day.
We expect a compensation before taking other measures.
10Easy and price effective, but with a couple ot system glitches.
The car was as expected in the range booked, although the counter staff made it sound like the car was something special. It did take a long time to translate the Easy Rent prepaid rate into the Avis rate, which held me up somewhat.
Great service and support. Customer service is also good. They tend to cross sell you but in a comfortable way. I have upgraded the car to SUV due to increased luggages. Overall, good and smooth experience
Our flight was delayed but a staff member stayed late to give us our car, much appreciated. Only downside was that the inside of the car smelled of cigarette smoke which was sickening, overall though car was clean and service great.
9.3Nice car but too small in back seat for our family
We received an Audi A6 wagon. Although a similar car as the Mercedes, it does not fit 5 adults comfortably. The. Back seats were uncomfortable and not very roomy, and the back middle seat passenger had a raised middle section by the feet and had to sit uncomfortably with legs spread out to either side of the platform throughout our three week trip. The trunk was spacious and fit your medium/ large suitcases, a carryon size suitcase and three backpacks.
7.3Thanks to Easyrentcars, but never Europcar in Brussels
I ordered medium SUV. But they gave me one of the smallest SUV I've ever seen. Mercedes GLA. By the measurement it's like Opel Mokka. It's ok only for two parents with two children. They told me that it's the category I have ordered. I asked about something medium and they told that they don't have. They offered me to take Mercedes B or Skoda Oktavia, but it's far from medium SUV that I ordered. They made my trip awful. 3 persons on the backseat is the guarantee of bad trip in GLA. It was the last time of using Europcar.
i can assure that no damage has been done to the car , yet they charged me extra 110 euros for damage. I lost an item and asked them to bring it back but they didn't until now. Also I didn't get the same car i got lexus CT

If we didn't have the babies I would cancel the reservation.
The car was good but there was extra charge which we were not made aware on booking. We paid the amount mentioned and expected that to be the full price but was charged 20euro for cleaning the car which we were only made aware of during picking up the car.
We would have been fine if this was mentioned at booking but was not made aware at all and also the car was handed back fairly cleanly that other car rentals would have not charged extra for feels like this is added on to all purchases unless you buy a 9eur cleaning service during check-in mind you this is when you have no choice as you have already made your booking and payment.
The car rental place was impossible to find. We spent 1.5 hours around the airport went to the car rental place where all the companies were present but couldn't find any signs of interrent, the location provided to us in the email took us to a completely different place no where near where these guys were located and the phone number provided was going to voice mail through out.
Finally found out that interrent was the europcar stall at the car rental place with no signs anywhere expect at the desk in one corner. Unless you knew europcar were the parent company which we know now you would struggle to find them.

Q2. How can I add an addtional driver?
You are advised to make a request upon your arrival at the rental counter. Additional charge per day will incur unless '1 Additional Driver Included' is stipulated on the rental. Please note that the same licence and age requirement applys to the additonal driver. The addtional driver is supposed to present the required licence document along with the main driver at pickup.
Q3.What if I want to pick up or drop off my rental car out of office hours?

Yes. You can pick up the vehicle in one place and drop it off in another. An ‘one-way fee’ will incur.
